Alchemist: A Book Review tells you a story of a dreamer, believer, searcher, shepherd with his never give up attitude, starts his journey of finding treasure in Egypt’s pyramid. The boy name is Santiago. A Gypsy woman helps him to interpret his dreams and what they want to tell him in the exchange of 1/10 th part of the treasure once he will get it. But he is more interested in reading books. He goes to the plaza and buy a thicker book in exchange of the one he has. There he bumped into an old man who is calling himself a king. But boy ignores him as he thinks why a sultan has interest to talk to me. The old guy tries to make conversation but he is in his book. For PahadNama
Alchemist: A Book Review
Actually, he is pretending to be with book. He is thinking about a daughter of merchant who is a customer of his sheep’s wool. A small conversation with his daughter makes him to think about her every time. She is curious to know how a shepherd can read. He wants to tell her everything that he is shepherded by his own choice not circumstances compelled him to do so and many more but he has a deal with her father.
Reality Of Old Man:
Old man writes the names of his father, mother, and girl on the sand. Now, old man has all the attention of the boy. He says the body about the treasure and will tell him if he gives him 1/10th of his flock. Santiago is not sure about change in his life but he is a believer of destiny. Next day, he sells the rest of his flock and gives 1/10th of flock to the old man. Now, old guy talks him about destiny, omen, and gives him two stones: Urim & Thummin which are black and white respectively. and says these stones will help you to know the omen but have to ask optional questions only. Boy leaves with all the knowledge and information.
At the Bar in Alchemist: A Book Review
Now, boy is on some foreign land. People are speaking another language that boy can’t understand. Their heads are on the ground while chanting prayers. He stumbles upon the bar and wants wine but owner gives him a bitter tea. No choice but drinking the tea. A new Spanish speaking boy appears same age of him. Boy is happy to see someone speaks that he understands. Santiago tells him about going to Egypt but doesn’t know how to go there and offers the new boy if he becomes his guide, he will pay him. The new boy says that Egypt is so far from here and costs enough money. Boy pours money on table. New boy says it is time to go. As the boy stands for paying the bills, owner holds him tightly. That new boy pushes the owner and runs with Santiago out of the bar.
New Friend, New Realization:
New boy says to be aware of thieves here and the owner wants your money. Boy starts trusting one him and follows him to the plaza where there are so many stalls. The new guy says that they have to buy to camel to visit Egypt. He has boy’s pouch of money. Suddenly, boy sees a beautiful sword and promises himself that he is going to buy the sword once he will return with treasure. As he starts talking to the owner of stall, he realize that he his not having his friend around him.
A story doesn’t end here. You will get amazed by seeing how he finally gets his treasure. So, read the book. For more book reviews.
